Collier fait de perles en faïance blanche, assemblées comme les maillons d'une histoire. Certaines perles sont rondes, tandis que d'autres sont ovales, carrées, ou encore en forme de tronçon rectangulaire, créant un rythme irrégulier tout au long du collier. Certaines sont émaillées d'une couleur légèrement nacrée, qui capte la lumière par endroits, d'autres d'une teinte plus grisâtre, plus sourde ; une partie d'entre elles est laissée en faïence brute, révélant la matière à l'état nu. Petite fille, l'artiste rêvait de posséder un long collier, extravagant et bien visible — un de ceux que sa mère trouvait trop vulgaires pour elle. Avec cette œuvre, elle se joue enfin de ce rêve interdit : un collier démesuré, fait main. A necklace made of white earthenware beads, strung together like the links of a story. Some beads are round, while others are oval, square, or shaped like a rectangular segment, creating an irregular rhythm along the necklace. Some are glazed in a slightly pearly hue that catches the light here and there, others in a more muted, grayish tone; some are left as raw, unglazed earthenware, revealing the material in its bare state. As a little girl, the artist dreamed of owning a long necklace, extravagant and unmissable — the kind her mother considered far too vulgar for her. With this piece, she finally plays with that forbidden dream: an oversized, handmade necklace. Eine Halskette aus weißen Fayence-Perlen, aufgereiht wie die Glieder einer Geschichte. Manche Perlen sind rund, andere oval, eckig oder in Form eines rechteckigen Segments geformt, was der Kette einen unregelmäßigen Rhythmus verleiht. Manche sind in einem leicht perlmuttartigen Ton glasiert, der hier und da das Licht einfängt, andere in einem gedämpfteren, gräulichen Farbton; ein Teil von ihnen bleibt als rohe, unglasierte Fayence, die das Material in seinem nackten Zustand zeigt. Als kleines Mädchen träumte die Künstlerin davon, eine lange Halskette zu besitzen, extravagant und unübersehbar — eine von jenen, die ihre Mutter als viel zu vulgär für sie empfand. Mit diesem Werk spielt sie nun endlich mit diesem verbotenen Traum: eine überdimensionale, handgefertigte Halskette.
